Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), a logistics condition monitoring solution company, announced on the 13th that it will participate in the "2024 World FoodTech Expo" to be held at COEX from the 20th, where it will introduce its food monitoring solution for systematic cold chain management.
The "2024 World FoodTech Expo," running for four days starting November 20 at COEX, is the largest specialized food tech exhibition in Korea. The event brings together leading companies from diverse food tech sectors, including alternative foods, customized specialty foods, food service innovation, convenience foods, production process technology, smart distribution, eco-friendly packaging, and green biotechnology, to share industry trends and discuss the present and future of the food tech industry. This year, more than 150 companies from 10 countries are expected to participate and operate over 400 booths.
At this exhibition, Willog will introduce its food monitoring solution, which enables transparent management of the entire food distribution process and strengthens data reliability. The solution allows real-time monitoring and management of food location, temperature, humidity, and other conditions, while fundamentally blocking the possibility of temperature data tampering, a persistent problem in the industry, thereby enabling the construction of a supply chain in which food ingredient suppliers, buyers, and consumers can all have confidence. This supports systematic cold chain management and ensures data reliability through automated data collection and recording. Collected data is further analyzed by professionals to predict or address anomalies in the transport process, improving overall transport efficiency and reducing logistics costs.
On the second day of the event, November 21, the "2024 Fresh Food Cold Chain Optimization Seminar" will also be held. Willog CEO Yoon Ji-hyun will participate as a speaker and present on the topic "Food Waste and the Introduction of Food QR: Strategic Directions for Businesses." The presentation will examine the problems caused by the high food waste rate, which has emerged as a major social issue, and explain the importance of supply chain transparency and transport data management that companies must secure in order to address the resulting climate change and economic losses.
Willog CEO Yoon Ji-hyun emphasized: "The ongoing incidents of temperature tampering in refrigerated and frozen vehicles pose a serious threat to consumer health and safety. Willog will build a safe and trustworthy food distribution environment through a data-driven, systematic food monitoring solution."
During the exhibition period, Willog will operate an exhibition booth (Booth No. C3301) for visitors.
