- Willog and the Indonesia Cold Chain Association (ICCA) establish a global partnership
- Partnership expected to contribute to Indonesia's national logistics vision and drive cold chain infrastructure innovation
- Establishing cold chain monitoring standards in Indonesia with proven IoT and AI solutions; leading ASEAN logistics innovation as a representative of K-logistics
Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an IoT and AI-based supply chain intelligence solutions company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indonesia Cold Chain Association (ICCA) and will formally enter the Indonesian market.
Through this agreement, Willog has gained the opportunity to support the modernization of Indonesia's cold chain logistics infrastructure and to participate in Indonesia's vision of building a National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE) based on the expertise of K-logistics. This is also aligned with Indonesia's long-term national development plan, "Golden Indonesia 2045," which aims to elevate the country to developed-nation status by 2045.
Composed of approximately 17,000 islands, Indonesia faces the modernization of its logistics system as a critical government priority due to its unique geographic characteristics. In particular, as the cold chain industry grows rapidly, establishing new technical standards and building the necessary infrastructure has emerged as an urgent challenge. The partnership between ICCA, led by Chairman Hasanuddin Yasni, and Willog is expected to address these pressing challenges by introducing advanced monitoring technology standards tailored to the Indonesian market.
ICCA is the leading association driving the development of Indonesia's cold chain industry, comprising cold chain-related companies, government agencies, and academic professionals. It plays a central role in promoting growth across the entire industry ecosystem through standardization, technology development, and policy recommendations in the Indonesian cold chain market.
Through this partnership, Willog will introduce its proven IoT sensor devices and AI-based intelligence solutions to the Indonesian cold chain market. The company will provide real-time monitoring of key environmental factors including temperature, humidity, shock, tilt, and location, along with predictive insights that minimize risks and costs throughout the entire logistics process. Through this, companies can secure complete supply chain visibility and data transparency, thereby strengthening trust and collaboration between businesses.
Willog's solutions are already being utilized by major domestic distribution and logistics companies in Korea. The company's technical reliability and stability were recently affirmed through an MOU with the Republic of Korea Army. Building on this proven technology, Willog plans to significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of Indonesia's logistics systems while contributing to waste reduction and quality maintenance for sensitive goods.
Willog Co-CEO Yoon Ji-hyun stated: "This MOU is a meaningful beginning that goes beyond simple technology cooperation, contributing to Indonesia's national vision of building an NLE. Based on Willog's proven technology, we will successfully establish cold chain monitoring standards in Indonesia and lead logistics innovation in the ASEAN market as a representative of K-logistics."
ICCA Chairman Hasanuddin Yasni added: "Willog's advanced cold chain solutions will be of great help in modernizing the Indonesian market. ICCA will provide abundant expertise and market data, and will actively support cooperation with government and related agencies to help ensure the success of the project."
Based on the MOU, both parties will prioritize pilot projects focused on high-value industries such as seafood and pharmaceuticals, and plan to continue multifaceted collaboration to develop solutions optimized for Indonesia's logistics environment.
This MOU was signed at the inaugural "Indonesia Cold Chain Infrastructure Summit" organized by ICCA. The event was attended by major Indonesian government ministries including the Ministry of Food, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Ministry of Industry, and Ministry of Transportation, as well as the Indonesian Port Association, Food and Beverage Producers Association, National Standardization Agency, and Global Cold Chain Alliance, who discussed the current status and future direction of Indonesia's cold chain infrastructure.
