Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an IoT-based logistics intelligence solution company, announced on March 12 its participation in an unmanned aerial vehicle-based joint civil-government-military medical system establishment project being promoted by Daejeon Metropolitan City.

Willog Participates in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's "Drone Demonstration City Project" for Medical Supplies Delivery System Demonstration

This project is part of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's "2025 Drone Demonstration City Construction Project," a pilot initiative to demonstrate a real-time urban medical supplies delivery system using drones. The goal is to enhance disaster and emergency response capabilities by enabling rapid transport of blood, specimens, and emergency medications, even in situations involving traffic congestion or other emergencies. Notably, as the nation's first medical drone demonstration project, led by Daejeon City in collaboration with Willog, the Armed Forces Daejeon Hospital, and Taekyung Electronics, it is expected to serve as an important case for validating the potential use of drones in the medical sector.

In this project, Willog will support the stable operation of medical drones and develop a real-time monitoring and optimization system for tracking the condition of blood, specimens, and pharmaceuticals during transport. Using data collected from sensor devices, Willog plans to build a platform that monitors the transport conditions of blood and blood products, specimens, and pharmaceuticals in real time, and provides immediate alerts to relevant personnel upon detection of anomalies such as changes in temperature, humidity, or shock levels. This will ensure that blood and pharmaceuticals are transported safely and in optimal condition.

Willog, founded in 2021, is an IoT-based logistics intelligence solution company that goes beyond simple cargo tracking to enable transparent management and prediction of the entire logistics process. The company uses patented IoT devices to precisely collect a wide range of environmental data affecting cargo conditions, including temperature, humidity, shock, tilt, and illuminance, in addition to real-time location data. The collected data is analyzed through proprietary algorithms optimized for the logistics environment, enabling prediction of potential issues and preemptive risk prevention, contributing to the advancement of corporate logistics strategies.

A representative of Daejeon City stated: "We are greatly looking forward to collaborating with Willog, whose deep understanding of pharmaceutical storage and transport management and extensive experience in bio-pharmaceutical cold chain transport monitoring make them an ideal partner. We hope that through this demonstration project, Daejeon City's medical system will be transformed, and that Daejeon will grow into a city that leads the future mobility market."

Willog Co-CEO Bae Sung-hoon emphasized: "The transport of blood and pharmaceuticals is a critical matter directly tied to public health and national security. Through this demonstration project with Daejeon City, we will develop a real-time monitoring system to support the stable operation of medical drones and contribute to building a more reliable medical logistics system."
