- Financial support for disposal and re-transportation costs resulting from temperature deviation and shock incidents
- Addressing the blind spot in existing logistics insurance coverage, minimizing losses even from unexpected incidents
- Provided free of charge to new customers through year-end; sequential application to existing Willog clients planned
Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an AIoT-based supply chain intelligence solution company, announced on the 25th the launch of its logistics loss compensation service Willog Care Plus. Willog Care Plus is a service born from the expansion of Willog's IoT data expertise, cultivated over years in the logistics field, into the insurance domain. It provides direct cash support for disposal and re-transportation costs not covered by conventional logistics insurance, based on incident detection data.
Willog Care Plus was designed by Willog Insurance, which brings specialized insurance design expertise, through analysis of compensation blind spots in the logistics field, and completed with Willog's logistics data and IoT solutions. The service operates on the principle that data proves the incident, and compensation acts on that proof.
The Blind Spot in Existing Logistics Insurance: Disposal and Re-transportation Costs Fall Entirely on Businesses
There are incidents that frequently occur in the logistics field: situations requiring total disposal of refrigerated food or pharmaceuticals due to temperature deviation during transport, and cases where cargo is damaged by shock or requires re-transportation following an accident. However, conventional logistics insurance largely does not cover the disposal costs and re-transportation expenses arising from such situations. As a result, the unexpected costs of such incidents become an unmitigated financial burden for businesses.
Willog Care Plus: Direct Support for Incident Losses Based on Device Detection
Willog Care Plus provides direct cash support, within coverage limits, for logistics-related costs when Willog IoT devices detect temperature deviations or shock events that result in actual incidents. Both re-transportation and disposal costs are covered, with coverage limits varying by device tier.
- Claims Process: (1) Real-time device detection, (2) Cargo damage confirmation, (3) Claim submission via Willog website, (4) Cash payout within coverage limits
This service, connecting device-detected temperature deviation and shock events through to cash support, extends the value of Willog's solution from the monitoring stage to post-incident management, providing a practical safety net for businesses that have been left in the blind spot of conventional insurance.
Sequential Application to Existing Clients; Free Provision to New Customers Through Year-End
Willog Care Plus will be sequentially applied to existing Willog clients, and will be provided free of charge to new customers throughout the current year within the contract period. Through this service, which connects data-based incident detection through to cost compensation, the company plans to create an environment where clients can focus on their business with peace of mind, even in the event of unexpected incidents.
Willog Co-CEO Yoon Ji-hyun stated: "The core of Willog Care Plus is not stopping at detecting incidents through data, but also resolving the actual financial losses caused by those incidents. We will close the compensation blind spot in logistics loss coverage that existing insurance has failed to fill, creating an environment where our clients can focus on their business with confidence, even when unexpected incidents arise."
