- Resilience identified as the key logistics keyword for 2026, featuring a phased evolution strategy based on DX and AX
- Worsening bottlenecks forecast in maritime and air freight, intensifying the importance of supply chain management
- Emphasis on building an intelligent logistics network progressing from IoT sensors through monitoring to intelligence
Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an AIoT-based supply chain intelligence solutions company, has published a report titled Next Wave 2026: Intelligent Supply Chains Completed Through DX and AX, which outlines the anticipated changes in the global supply chain in 2026 and strategic responses.
In an era where uncertainty has become the constant, maintaining supply chain stability grows increasingly difficult.
The report illuminates how the global supply chain, previously optimized for efficiency, is being restructured around Resilience in the face of compounding variables including geopolitical risks, economic bloc formation, and tightening environmental regulations. Willog analyzes that logistics has been elevated from simple transportation to a strategic security solution directly tied to corporate survival in this age of uncertainty. As a solution, the report presents a phased evolution model described as "point, line, and plane," integrating digital transformation (DX) with AI transformation (AX).
According to the report, the first stage of the intelligent supply chain, the "point," is the foundational phase in which fragmented basic logistics networks are connected through data. Willog's IoT sensor devices directly collect objective, tamper-proof source data on cargo, including temperature, humidity, and shock, establishing a reliable data standard at the unit level.
The second stage, the "line," is the process of connecting collected data to achieve End-to-End Visibility without interruption. Willog's control tower integrates data from the warehouse to the final destination, supporting regulatory compliance and environmental history management, thereby strengthening data connectivity.
The final stage, the "plane," is the completion of an intelligent logistics network in which accumulated data is analyzed through Willog's proprietary AI algorithms to deliver predictions and prescriptions. By going beyond simple monitoring to proactively predict risks of delays or damage and provide tailored countermeasures, this stage resolves logistics uncertainty and enables a stable business environment.
The report also includes an outlook for the logistics market in 2026. The maritime shipping market is projected to face rising costs driven by structural overcapacity and environmental regulations, while the air cargo market is expected to experience worsening administrative bottlenecks as surging demand for high-value goods meets supply constraints.
The report particularly warns that in the bio and materials, parts, and equipment (MPE) sectors, logistics unpredictability can act as a critical risk threatening R&D data integrity and production continuity.
Willog CEO Bae Sung-hoon stated: "2026 will mark the year in which the paradigm of logistics competition shifts from 'cost' to 'data-driven risk management.' Willog's intelligence solution will help companies control uncertainty, preserve core value, and build long-term economic trust."
