- Recognition for achieving uninterrupted logistics visibility through AIoT-based real-time data collection
- Advanced AI analysis algorithms supporting operational efficiency improvement and optimal decision-making
- Expanding influence in mission-critical sectors where data reliability is paramount
Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an AIoT-based supply chain intelligence solution company, announced that it has received the Grand Prize in the Logistics Startup category at the 29th Korea Logistics Award ceremony.
The Korea Logistics Award is a prestigious recognition sponsored by the Korea Logistics Society, selecting innovative companies that have elevated the profile of Korea's logistics industry. Willog was recognized for solving the long-standing industry challenge of data fragmentation through the agility and technological capabilities unique to startups.
This marks the company's second win, following its 2022 award in the Digital Logistics category, and is evaluated as both an internal and external validation of its technological competitiveness in the logistics startup market.
Providing Uninterrupted Visibility: Realizing Intelligent Logistics Beyond Simple Tracking
Willog's core competitive advantage lies in its proprietary AIoT sensor devices. Willog's devices collect not only the location of cargo in transit, but also real-time environmental data including temperature, humidity, shock, and tilt. This enables uninterrupted visibility across the entire process, from warehousing to land, sea, and air transport.
In particular, rather than using real-time data merely as a one-time check of the current state, it is analyzed using advanced AI algorithms to identify bottlenecks in logistics operations and recommend optimal transport routes and conditions. This intelligent decision support system plays a decisive role in maximizing the logistics operational efficiency of client companies.
Emerging as a Partner in the Mission-Critical Market Where Zero Errors Are Tolerated
Recently, Willog has been rapidly expanding its influence in mission-critical logistics domains, such as defense, pharmaceuticals, and precision instruments, where high levels of data reliability are required. Mission-critical logistics refers to domains where even a single environmental change or data error can have devastating consequences for human lives or business operations.
The collaboration with Hyundai Glovis stands out in particular. Willog partnered with Hyundai Glovis to introduce an AIoT-based smart monitoring system into the global automotive knocked-down (KD) parts transport process. By digitizing what was previously a post-transport damage assessment system, it now monitors the condition of cargo in real time across all 13,000 km from Busan to Alabama, USA. This has enabled the prevention of quality damage that could occur during transport and ensures the uninterrupted operation of global production lines, demonstrating the value of data in global SCM settings.
Willog Co-CEO Bae Sung-hoon stated: "We view this award as recognition of Willog's direction and technology, which has been connecting previously fragmented logistics operations through data-driven intelligence. Willog connects the diverse data generated from the start of logistics through to the final destination into a single flow, enabling faster and more accurate judgment and response at actual operational sites."
He continued: "In the current global supply chain environment, what is increasingly important is not just simple tracking, but the ability to explain and respond to quality and risk with reliable data. Willog will continue to advance its AI-based real-time analysis and operational decision support technology to establish a new standard of data-driven reliability in the global supply chain market."
Meanwhile, Willog has recently completed a successful Series B-2 investment round, securing strong growth momentum for business expansion and technology enhancement. Even amid an overall investment market contraction, the result reflects market recognition of Willog's unique corporate value based on its continuous logistics data collection technology and tangible achievements in the global market. Willog plans to further solidify its operational base across North America and Asia and enhance its AI analytics solution to strengthen its leading position in the global supply chain intelligence field.
