Willog Wins Korea Bio Association Chairman's Award at 2025 Bio Industry Day
  • Recognition for digital transformation achievements in temperature and humidity management of vaccines and biological preparations using IoT-based logistics intelligence solutions
  • Efficiency and productivity of transport and goods receipt inspection maximized by reflecting the on-site operational characteristics of bio manufacturers and distributors
  • Expanding from bio cold chain achievements into the semiconductor and battery markets

Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an AIoT-based supply chain intelligence solutions company, announced on the 1st that it received the Korea Bio Association Chairman's Award at the "2025 Bio Innovation Growth Enterprise Recognition Ceremony," organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Bio Association in commemoration of Bio Industry Day.

Willog was selected as the award recipient in recognition of its contributions to improving public health through the establishment of a transparent and safe transport system for vaccines and biological preparations.

The core background of this award was Willog's technology, which proactively responded to the revision of the "Regulations on Manufacturing and Sales Management of Biological Preparations, etc." that took effect in July 2022. The revised regulation mandated the introduction of automatic temperature recording devices for the transport of biological preparations requiring cold or frozen storage, such as vaccines. Willog's IoT sensor device not only addresses these revised requirements, but also supports data-driven decision-making based on collected environmental data, resolving many challenges faced by companies in the sector.

Willog has been recognized for dramatically strengthening the transparency and safety of the domestic vaccine transport system by developing an innovative solution that digitizes the existing analog temperature and humidity management system. The key core technologies, including QR code-, BLE-, and LTE-based sensor devices and control systems, were developed as the first domestically developed proprietary technology of their kind in Korea.

The solution collects and analyzes status data in real-time, including temperature, humidity, shock, and location, across the entire logistics process from goods receipt through storage, shipment, delivery, and post-verification. In particular, upon receiving a product, users can instantly verify the complete logistics status throughout the transport process by simply scanning a QR code or using BLE via smartphone, without any separate software or equipment. This has significantly improved the efficiency and productivity of goods receipt inspection work for bio manufacturers and distributors.

Founded in May 2021, Willog has rapidly built references in the bio pharmaceutical cold chain market and established itself as a leading company in the bio logistics IT sector. More recently, the company has been expanding its technological applications to high-sensitivity industries such as semiconductors, batteries, glass, and chemical products. In addition, by combining vast big data collected from IoT devices with customer data and analyzing it through machine learning and AI technology, the company is generating tangible business impact including anomaly detection in logistics environments and route optimization.

Willog CEO Bae Sung-hoon stated: "Through this award, we received recognition for our achievement of building a safer bio pharmaceutical distribution environment through logistics data technology. Going forward, we will further advance AIoT and data analytics technology to expand our data-based intelligence platform not only in the bio industry, but across all industries requiring logistics innovation."

Meanwhile, Willog has confirmed market demand in global markets including the United States and Singapore based on its bio pharmaceutical supply chain management capabilities, and plans to actively pursue business development in those markets.
