  • AIoT-based international freight monitoring service to be piloted with KTNET client companies
  • Part of KTNET's "Logistics ON/OFF Project" connecting digital logistics data with on-site logistics services
  • Plans to explore uLogisHub integration and expansion based on PoC results, accelerating digital transformation in trade logistics
  • Coverage for disposal and re-transportation costs arising from temperature deviations and shock incidents

Willog (co-CEOs Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an AIoT-based supply chain intelligence solution company, announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Trade Network (KTNET, CEO Ko Jin) for a joint Proof of Concept (PoC) on IoT-based international logistics visibility services. The agreement was established as part of KTNET's "Logistics ON/OFF Project," aimed at verifying the feasibility of a new service model that connects digital logistics information with on-site logistics services.

KTNET's "Logistics ON/OFF Project": Bridging Digital Logistics Data and the Field

KTNET (Korea Trade Network) is a specialized institution providing digital infrastructure for the trade and logistics sector, supporting the digital transformation of domestic trade and logistics companies through platforms such as uTradeHub and uLogisHub. The "Logistics ON/OFF Project," which serves as the backdrop for this MOU, aims to connect digital logistics information with actual on-site logistics services, linking data across the entire logistics process from cargo departure to arrival and expanding the logistics services available to customers.

KTNET's Client Network x Willog's IoT Technology: Completing the PoC Through Division of Roles

Under this agreement, KTNET is responsible for recruiting PoC participant companies, overseeing the pilot, and coordinating operations between the two parties. KTNET will also conduct a comprehensive analysis of the pilot results to examine the feasibility of integrating freight monitoring data with existing trade and logistics information, and will explore the direction of expanding logistics services in connection with its own platforms such as uLogisHub. Willog will take overall responsibility for operating the freight monitoring service throughout the PoC, including receiving and managing applications, reviewing service applicability, providing IoT devices and freight monitoring services, and handling customer consultations.

  • PoC Scope: Pilot provision of IoT-based international freight monitoring services for KTNET client companies
  • KTNET's Role: Recruiting PoC participant companies, managing pilot operations and comprehensive analysis of results, reviewing data and service integration options
  • Willog's Role: Receiving and managing applications, providing IoT devices, overall operation of freight monitoring services
  • Post-PoC Utilization: Joint analysis of operational results, followed by review of uLogisHub-linked services and subsequent commercialization

The freight monitoring data and participant feedback collected through the PoC will be jointly analyzed by both parties to verify service utility and on-site applicability. Notably, the structure also includes an insurance service in which Willog's IoT data serves as the basis for quality loss compensation in international freight, thereby demonstrating a data-driven risk management framework across the entire international transport process.

uLogisHub Integration and Commercialization After PoC: Accelerating Digital Transformation in Trade Logistics

Following the PoC, both parties plan to jointly review a service integration model between KTNET's uLogisHub and Willog's solution based on the operational results, with the intention of expanding into full-scale commercial collaboration depending on outcomes. As corporate demand for securing digital visibility in international freight continues to grow, the two companies plan to examine the feasibility of integrating uLogisHub with Willog's solution and explore follow-on cooperation accordingly.

Willog Co-CEO Bae Sung-hoon stated: "When KTNET's digital trade and logistics infrastructure is combined with Willog's IoT data capabilities, we can substantially close the visibility gap in international freight. Through this PoC, we will validate on-site applicability and work together to establish a new standard for digital transformation in trade logistics."

Ko Byung-kwon, Executive Director of KTNET's Electronic Logistics Business Division, remarked: "The core of the Logistics ON/OFF Project is connecting digital information and the physical field as one. We expect Willog's IoT-based freight monitoring technology to play a central role in that physical connection, and we hope this PoC will give KTNET's client companies a new experience in managing international freight."
